Take either the R or M to either Union or 9th Street. On weekends the N usually runs local and will stop at Union. Be careful because you could find yourself on 36th Street and have to wait for another train to take you back.

You can also take the F to the Seventh Ave stop. It's a slightly longer walk -- one avenue -- than the R or M

The 63 bus runs down Fifth Ave and then turns down Flatbush.

If you're coming from the Island or the Verrazano take the Belt to 38th Street and go down 4th Ave to 3rd Street.
