THE WINDSOR KNOT

The knot for formal occassions. Wide, triangular, powerful, sophisticated. It is best suited for spread collar shirts.

We have two sets of directions to tie a Windsor Knot. If you need another demonstration try the other description of how to tie a windsor knot.

First button your shirt to the top. Flip the collar up.

	1. Start with the wide end about a foot (or 3 buttons) below the narrow end. Remember the alignment in case you need to re-tie the knot.
	2. Bring wide end up through loop between collar and tie; then back down.
	3. Pull wide end underneath narrow end and to the left, back through the loop and to the left again so that the wide end is inside out.
	4. Bring wide end across the front from left to right.
	5. Pull wide end up through the loop again.
	6. Bring wide end down through the knot in front.
	7. Using both hands, tighten the knot carefully and draw up to collar.

Practice and it becomes simple.
